In the glow of this lantern's light so bright,

Vanguards of success emerged in the night.

Professors, lawyers, doctors, and more,

They showed what hard work and dreams were for.

Households with just this lamp, they knew,

Their children's dreams could just come true.

Through Common Entrance, to A Levels they'd go,

With this little lantern's steady, guiding glow.

Today, where have all the light bulbs gone,

Rechargeable lamps, each single one?

Generators, solar panels, they're in our view,

But what happened to homework, a task for a few?

Is it you or the child, school, or the state,

Who are we to blame for the homework's late?

Let's ignite that spirit, the lantern's fire,

To inspire young minds and lift them higher.
